Hasenberg: One site, many ways to listen.

Near Widen in Aargau, the Hasenberg project shows how different SDR platforms and antennas come together at one location. This profile puts its publicly documented development into context.

Radio curiosity from Aargau

The KiwiHasenberg overview links to OpenWebRX+, several KiwiSDR devices and a separately identified Web-888. Different antennas and reception paths make the site a useful example of Web-SDR variety. Its public location is Widen AG; we do not reproduce precise private location or contact details.

Expansion in January 2024

On 22 January 2024, SDRadio reported an expansion of the OpenWebRX+ system to eight connected receivers. The article mentions RTL-SDR, SDRplay and Airspy hardware and different antennas. This is a historical development stage, not confirmation of today’s equipment or available frequencies.

Distinguishing KiwiSDR and Web-888

The project overview lists a Web-888 alongside the KiwiSDR devices. It remains a separate hardware platform and is not classified as a KiwiSDR by SWISS-SDR. Antenna, software interface and actual reception range must always be considered separately.
